Worth mentioning iso engine ( Fri 1 Aug 2008 )

If this was a business, someone would advise me against linking to something that could be considered a “competitor”. However, I’m not competing with anybody so…

Openspace looks like a very complete solution that seems focused at online communities and already integrates server-side technology. Depending on your specific needs i think it is well worth considering.

Still, mine has real-time lights and shadows, bwaha ha ha ha !!!

  1. Sure. But it depends on Smart Fox Server, which is about 4,000 USD (only $500 less then FMS 3, which has server-side shared objects and AMF3). They do have a stand-alone map editor, but then again…that means you are severely constrained into the kinds of textures you can apply to tiles, etc.

  2. dude, check out the demo.. this thing doesn’t even come CLOSE to this engine.. F DAT

  3. Oh, Man. Are you kidding me? It is licensed per programmer or designer seat = =u. And I don’t think comparison between OSP and F- are valid as F- seems to have more features which is quite promising after Flash 10 released. IMHO ^^
